Our Vision and Mission
Healing Rhode Clinical Services, LLC was founded by Nicholas Robenhymer, LMHC, in January 2021. Nicholas began his career in the mental health field working with children and families in DCYF care. Quickly, he came to two realizations. The first was that there were a great number of Rhode Islanders who suffered deep wounds from a variety of traumas in their lives and the second was that these people, in the deepest of suffering, were often offered provided inexperienced and under trained clinicians like himself. Nicholas wanted to develop a practice that sought to fill the training gap that was present for so many clinicians when it came to treating trauma and the effect trauma has on individual's partners, families, work, and life satisfaction.
In 2024, Nicholas began to grow his clinical team with the mission of furthering the growth and development of these clinicians as they provide the best care for their clients. Each of clinician is provided with consistent supervision in both individual and group settings. This ensures that each client is not only being treated by one fantastic clinician but the entire Healing Rhode Team. Our clinicians are also required to undergo ongoing, formal clinical development in evidence-based practices such as CPT for PTSD, DBT, EMDR, and CBT which have the empirical data backing the effectiveness of treating those with trauma and healing relationships.
The hope Nicholas has is that, as our clinicians grow together, they develop an empirically based and collaborative treatment style that they take with them in their careers. In doing so, they will share their knowledge and skills with other clinicians and spread this standard of care across Rhode Island. This is the mission and vision that each one of our clients is brought into when the provide us the privilege of being a part of their healing journey.
